If you like food writing combined with memoir, you will like Molly Wizenberg and her latest, Delancey: A Man, A Woman, A Restaurant, A Marriage. The restaurant is in Seattle. Her first book, A Homemade Life, is a bestseller.
I bought Sicily: A Literary Guide for Travellers by Andrew and Suzanne Edwards for an upcoming trip – haven’t been there in seven years. Many of the greatest writers were drawn to this island.
Groundbreaking Food Gardens by Nikki Jabbour promises 73 plans that will change the way you grow your garden, such as: Slow Food Garden; Vintage Victory Garden; Edibles on a Patio; Heirloom Sampler; Formal Herb Garden; Eggs & Everything; and Living Walls.

Oh wow, a literary guide to Sicily, the cover looks amazing and the interior sounds fabulous! And your own connection to the place and now The Italian Chapel to read as well. 🙂 I can’t wait for you to visit and share the experience.
The Delancey and Sicily books sound good. I may get Judy one of the Molly Wizenberg books, as she likes food writing. And Sicily has been on my bucket list to visit for a long time (actually, I’ve never been anywhere in Italy).
It would be interesting to look at Sicilian gardens.
Thanks, Vishy. Probably because my last name, by marriage, is Irish.
Wonderful books, Valorie! The book on Sicily looks quite fascinating! I didn’t know that your father was born in Sicily – I somehow thought that you had an Irish background. The picture of the piazza in Sicily is quite beautiful. Happy reading!
